To find the probability of drawing an even number, you will determine how many possible outcomes are even and divide by the total possible outcomes.

(2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 ,16) = 8 possible even numbers
(1 - 17)                            = 17 possible outcomes

8/17 = 0.47

There is an approximate 47% chance of drawing an even number.
