The answer is the Tammany Hall. It was a political power in New York City from its 1789 beginning as a kindhearted relationship to mayoral crusades in the 1950s. Often its authority was indistinguishable to the Executive Committee of the neighborhood Democratic gathering, and it was a noteworthy or controlling group in the gathering in 1821-1872 and 1905-1932.
