Hello!

16 - 3p = [tex] \frac{2p}{3} [/tex] + 5

48 - 9p = 2p + 15

48 = 2p + 15 + 9p

48 = 11p + 15

48 - 15 = 11p

33 = 11p

[tex] \frac{33}{11} [/tex] = p

3 = p

p = 3
3 is your answer.
Enjoy.
