Friction is the force that rubs things away. It's like the rough sandpaper rubbing on the rough thing to make the ridges on it go away. It's also like rubbing soles.

Friction is the force that rubs things away. if you rub a wet paper towel on a spill the spill will clean up. The force between the spill and wet towel is called friction.
