Plot the vertex at (0,-1). The 6 on the x^2 acts like the slope. From the vertex, rise 6 and run 1 in each direction and plot those points. You will have a very skinny parabola. Alternatively, you could make a table of values and choose very small values for x, like decimal numbers that are between 1 and - 1.
