"A worker's success in contributing to the common good is measured by how well she or he does the job."

In teamwork, all participants have a part to do, a job that will, when summed to the other's job, make the desired whole for the common good.  When a worker does his or her job well, he will be having success, even if the final whole won't be what was desired - he did his part, and, therefore, in what was dependent of himself, the common good could be achieved.
