The Medicare Prescription Drug,
Improvement, and Modernization Act (MMA) established the hospital
Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR), Recovery Audit Contract (RAC), and Zone
Program Integrity Contractor (ZPIC) programs. This is a federal law of the
United States which was enacted in 2003.
