So you make your equation, which would be x+4x=50.
Simplify, and get 5x=50, divide both sides by 5.
Get x=10
Green apples bought=10
Red apples bought=40

so you to solve this you want to divide 50 by 4

50 divided by 4 equals 12.5
so she bought 12.5 and a green apples

now we want to subtract 12.5 from 50
50-12.5=37.5

our final step is to subtract 12.5 from 37.5 to find the difference
37.5-12.5=25

she bought 25 more red apples than green apples
