Poverty is the state of being poor and it simply means that one is not able to provide basic needs for him or herself. Poverty can result from unemployment, teenage pregnancy, lack of skills and education, epidemic diseases and natural disasters. In most cases poverty is caused by unemployment and lack of skills and education.
