Greetings!

To find the average of a set of numbers, you add them together and divide by the amount of numbers.

In an expression:
[tex](12+40)/2[/tex]
Follow PEDMASS
[tex](52)/2[/tex]
[tex]=26[/tex]

The average of the two numbers is 26.

Hope this helps.
-Benjamin
