If we remove the Absolute Signs we will get:

a) 6a-5 = +4a And

b) 6a-5 = - 4a

Solve a)  6a-5 = +4a
6a - 4a = 5 → 2a=5 and    a=5/2

Solve b): 6a-5 = - 4a
6a + 4a = 5 → 10a = 5 and   a = 1/2

Then the solutions are : a = 5/2   and a = 1/2
