The Nashville students made several sit-in demonstrations usually on stores. Mostly were unrecorded violence. However, one incident happened during sit in protest when there were no police in the area. It happened in Chattanooga. On the fourth sit-in strike, participants were attacked in the McClellan and Woolworths stores. The attackers were not caught. But the demonstrators showed that they refused to leave the stores that caused their arrests.
