It is true that a courtroom judge's decision should be fair and impartial, rather than biased and subjective. When a judge decides whether someone is guilty or not, he or she needs to be completely unbiased and objective, because his or her decision should be based on facts and evidence only, and not on his or her personal feelings. Emotions have nothing to do here when such an important decision has to be made.
