−3x + y= −31
 4x + 5y =16

multiply 1st equaltion by (-5)
15x - 5y = 155
 4x + 5y = 16
-----------------------add
19x = 171
    x = 171/19
    x = 9

−3x + y= −31
−3(9) + y = −31
   -27 + y = -31
         y = -31 + 27
         y = -4

answer
ordered pair (9, -4)
