A=l*w or in the case of a square [tex] l^{2} [/tex]

So your length is 5x so plug that into your equation
A=[tex] (5x)^{2} [/tex] or [tex]25 x^{2} [/tex]

Then plug in your 2.2
25*[tex] 2.2^{2} [/tex] = 25*4.84 = 121

Hope that helps
