According to Newton's Second Law of Motion, the net force F that acts on an object with mass m that accelerates at a rate a is:

[tex]F=ma[/tex]

Substitute m=30.0kg and a=7.0m/s^2 to find the net force on the bike:

[tex]\begin{gathered} F=(30.0\operatorname{kg})(7.0\frac{m}{s^2}) \\ =210N \end{gathered}[/tex]

Then, the net force applied to the bike, is 210 N.
