[tex]f(x)=2^x^{}[/tex]

Multiplying by 1/2 at both sides, we get:

[tex]\frac{1}{2}f(x)=\frac{1}{2}2^x=g(x)[/tex]

This means that f(x) is compressed by a factor of 1/2 to be transformed into g(x)
