Solve the following equation for Y: y+2x=6

We have the equation

[tex]y+2x=6[/tex]

If we move +2x to the right hand side as -2x, we get

[tex]y=6-2x[/tex]

hence, the solution is:

[tex]y=6-2x[/tex]
