The given equation is

[tex]y+1=4(x+1)[/tex]

We need to put it in the form

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

Then at first, we will simplify the right side

[tex]\begin{gathered} y+1=4(x)+4(1) \\ \\ y+1=4x+4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Now, we will subtract 1 from both sides

[tex]\begin{gathered} y+1-1=4x+4-1 \\ \\ y=4x+3 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The slope-intercept form is y = 4x + 3
