The solution to the system of equation is (4, 2)

Solving by elimination

Given the system of equation below;

-x-y=-6

-7x-y=-30

Using the elimination method. Subtract both equations

-x +7x = -6 + 30
6x = 24

x = 4

Substitute x = 4 into equation 1 to have;

-4 - y = -6

-y = -6 + 4

-y = -2

y = 2

Hence the solution to the system of equation is (4, 2)
