Longitude and latitude basically have different directions. Longitude is Vertical (Side to side) and Latitude is Horizontal (Up and Down).

Latitude lines has 180 number of lines, Longitude has 360 number of lines. Latitude lines are the vertical lines and the Longitude lines are the horizontal lines.
