When dividing fractions, the second fraction gets flipped over and the divide sign changes to multiplication:
- 3/4 divided by -8/12 becomes -3/4 x -12/8
Now when you multiply 2 negative values by each other the answer becomes positive, which would be the same as multiplying two positive values.
The equivalent answer would be c. 3/4 x 12/8
