the solution to the system of equation is (5, -T

System of equation

  • x + 3y = −1
  • 2x + 2y = 6

From equation 1;

x = -1 - 3y

Substitute x = -1-3y into equation 2

x + y = 3

-1-3y + y = 3

-1 -2y = 3

-2y = 4

y = -2

Since x + y = 3

x = 3 + 2

x = 5

Hence the solution to the system of equation is (5, -2)
