Manifest Destiny means that people think that they have a right to expand (it is destiny). Because of Westward expansion, the Louisiana Purchase was made and the Mexican War was done. Alaska was bought from Russia and many other states were made for expansion. The Trial of Tears was paved and Native American camps were created, all for the sake of Manifest Destiny.
