The correct answer is (1,2)

Steps:
Multiply the second equation by 6 in order to eliminate the x variable.

6x-7y= -8
6(-x-4y= -9)

6x-7y= -8
-6x-24y=-54

Add the equations together and solve for y

-31y= -62
Y=2

Substitute y=2 in the original equation

-x-4(2)= -9
-x-8= -9
-x= -1
X=1

Answer: (1,2)
