How can I add fractions with different denominators

you have to find a common denominator
like for example
4/7+ 3/6
7 and 6 both have a common denominator of 42
6x7 is 42 3x7 is 21 so 3/6 becomes 21/42 but then of course 4/7 becomes 24/42 then just add the numerators.
