Step 1. Simplify [tex] \frac{2}{3} +y- \frac{4}{5} [/tex] to [tex]y- \frac{2}{15} [/tex]

[tex]y- \frac{2}{15} = \frac{1}{3} [/tex]

Step 2. add [tex] \frac{2}{15} [/tex] to both sides

[tex]y= \frac{1}{3} + \frac{2}{15} [/tex]

Step 3. Simplify [tex] \frac{1}{3} + \frac{2}{15} [/tex] to [tex] \frac{7}{15} [/tex]

[tex]y= \frac{7}{15} [/tex]

Done! :) (Decimal Form: 0.4667)
