Given :

A train travels 110 miles per hour.

To Find :

How fast does the  train travel in feet per second.

Solution :

We know, 1  mile = 5280 feet .

1 hour = 3600 s.

So, speed in feet per second is :

[tex]s=\dfrac{110\ miles \times 5280\ \dfrac{feet}{miles} }{1\ hour\times 3600\ \dfrac{s}{hour}}\\\\\\s=\dfrac{110\times 5280}{3600}\ feet/s\\\\s=161.33\ feet/s[/tex]

Hence, this is the required solution.
