x=1   and  y=-2

Step-by-step explanation:

5-2i-7=-2-2i

x-(3-yi)=x-3+yi

we write this equation   -2 - 2i = (x-3)  +yi

so -2=x-3                  and       -2i=yi    

    +3      +3                               :i    :i

    1=x                                         -2= y

so x=1      and   y= -2
