Answer:

Temperature plays an extreme role of what activities and inhabitants are in such biome. For example, a polar bear would do well in a Tundra Biome, but not a Hot Desert Biome, since the polar bear is conditioned for the cold and its main source of energy are seals which inhabits cold seas!
