Explain the term overexploitation as it relates to species extinction.

Answer:

When a resource is over consumed to the point of diminishing it. in the context of species extinction, if an animal population, say fish like anchovies, were to be fished for and eaten so much that they would have no chance to recover their numbers as they are eaten, it would be overexploitation.
