Prime factors of 45: 45/3 = 15
= 15/5 = 3  
45 = 5 x 3 x 3

Prime factors of 12: 12/2 = 6
= 6/2 = 3
12 = 2 x 2 x 3

Prime factors of 78: 78/2 = 39
= 39/3 = 13
78 = 13 x 3 x 2
