Answer: A north pole and a south pole

Explanation: All magnets no matter how big or small they are will always have poles. All magnets have two regions of magnetic strength where they are the strongest. Even if I cut a magnet in half, it would still have poles.

It's important to understand that there like poles repel each other and opposites attract.
