Formula

Concentration = mols / Liters

Givens

C = 3 moles / Liter

V = 2.5 L

mols = ???

Solution

3 = mol/2.5                  Multiply both sides by 2.5

3*2.5 = mol/2.5 * 2.5  Cancel on the right. Combine on the left.
