Hello!

Chemical and mechanical digestion are significantly different.

Chemical digestion is when your food is broken down through enzymes into basic nutrients for your body to use as energy. It is simply breaking down your food with the use of chemicals.

Mechanical digestion is when you chew, or when your stomach moves your food through the intestines. It's breaking down your food without the use of chemicals.
