Let

A( 5.0,2.8) B( -2.8,5.1)

we know that

The formula to find the distance between two points is equal to

[tex]d=\sqrt{(y2-y1)^{2} +(x2-x1)^{2}}[/tex]

substitute in the formula

[tex]d=\sqrt{(5.1-2.8)^{2} +(-2.8-5)^{2}}[/tex]

[tex]d=\sqrt{(2.3)^{2} +(-7.8)^{2}}[/tex]

[tex]d=\sqrt{66.13}[/tex]

[tex]d=8.13\ cm [/tex]

therefore

the answer is

the distance between these points is [tex]8.13\ cm[/tex]
