Explain why blood oozes from a venous wound rather than spurting as it does from an arterial wound

The venous system is low pressure using either gravity from the upper body or muscle action from the lower body (when we sit/stand). It does have a little pressure naturally. So a cut oozes blood unless you hit an artery. That is high pressure blood carrying oxygen to tissues.
