formula for slope is given by

[tex] slope = \frac{y2-y2}{x2-x1} [/tex]

we are given two points (3,4) and (-4,-5)

plugging in the formula we get,

[tex] slope = \frac{-5-4}{-4-3} [/tex]

slope = 9/7
