Answer:5 units

Explanation:

Given

magnitude of vector A [tex]|\vec{A}|=6 units[/tex]

magnitude of vector B [tex]|\vec{B}|=1 unit[/tex]

Smallest value of vector addition can be obtained when they are at angle of [tex]180^{\circ}[/tex]

i.e.  [tex]\vec{A}+\vec{B}=\vec{R}[/tex]

where R is resultant vector

[tex]|\vec{R}|=6-1=5\ units[/tex]

when two vectors are [tex]180^{\circ}[/tex] apart then they Produce minimum magnitude vector
