length= 3x feet

Area = length * width

= 3x*x=432

=3[tex]x^{2}[/tex]=432

=[tex]x^{2}[/tex]=432/3

=x=[tex]\sqrt{144}[/tex]

=x=12

therefore width=12 feet

length=3x

But x=12

length=3*12=36 feet
